Business/Occupation: Paralegal, FirstEnergy Legal Department

Volunteer Role: Member of the Promotions Committee, Past Chair

Connection to DTCF: I live in the Falls and eat, shop, and attend events downtown

What made you want to volunteer with DTCF? When I moved to the Falls in 2017, I saw the potential that DTCF had when Front street was reopened and I wanted to be a part of helping DTCF to grow.

How has volunteer work impacted your life? I have met some great people and made friends among fellow volunteers.

Why do you enjoy volunteering for the DTCF? DTCF is an amazing place – the perfect staycation and a rewarding destination! I am thrilled to have a small part in sharing the message that DTCF is one of NE Ohio’s premier shopping, dining, and entertainment destinations with people locally and regionally. I am hopeful that soon the Partnership will be able to host some unique events in DTCF as well, as I enjoy helping to plan and promote events.

What has been your favorite project or event you have volunteered for with DTCF? Working with Greg Scheetz to design and compile the Visitors Guide

What would you tell people who are looking to get involved? Dive in! There is a place for everyone and plenty of work to be done.

Fun fact about yourself! I am a model railroader and a member of the Cuyahoga Valley Terminal Model Railroad Club

Years of Volunteering: 4

Other Places Involved: CVT Model RR Club, FirstEnergy Green Team

Matthew has been instrumental within DTCFP by spearheading several projects during the last four years! He has made a permanent stamp on this organization. Thank you Matthew for your hard work, passion, and dedication to DTCF Partnership.
