"Joining the board gives me the opportunity to contribute my skills and work closely with others that share a passion for growth in our community" explains Aaron (Portage Community Bank). "The DTCF to me is a way to promote and connect residents, visitors and businesses in downtown Cuyahoga Falls Riverfront."
"As someone who works closely with families in our school district, I see the incredible value in building strong community connections. Joining the Downtown Cuyahoga Falls Partnership Board is a natural extension of that work—helping to ensure our downtown continues to be a place where families feel welcome, connected, and proud to call home." Christine (CF City School District)
These board members replace board members who have termed out per the organization's bylaws or have resigned due to new endeavours. Lisa Ohler (Portage Community Bank), Jamie Sipps (HiHO Brewing Co), and Heather Morrow (resident, City of CF). We are eternally grateful for their time, talent, dedication, and passion for our downtown community!
New board members add successions for HiHO Brewing Company (Amber) and Portage Community Bank (Aaron) - two anchors of our downtown. With increasing staffing challenges, we are looking for resources and ways DTCFP can add value to our downtown businesses and organization internally - Kyle has decades of expertise + experience, and will be an asset to growing our organization. A city is nothing without its schools and that is where Christine comes in. We are looking to partner with our youth and seek future opportunities to link our citywide community to our downtown community.
New leadership is also in effect for DTCFP with Andrew Harant (Cuyahoga Falls Library) as President, Nicholas Peters (TRIAD Advertising + Marketing), Aaron White (Portage Community Bank) as Treasurer, and Michele Hruska (Leo's Italian Social) as Secretary. This group, along with DTCFP Executive Director Kaylee Piper, DTCFP Community Coordinator Kim Lint and past President Russell DuPlain (Summit DD) make up the Executive Committee which oversees financial and long term operational decisions.
Heather Morrow reflects on her time as board President. “It’s been an honor to work up close with so many passionate people dedicated to enhancing and promoting our historic downtown and riverfront as a vibrant destination for residents, visitors, and businesses alike. Serving as President of the Board has been incredibly rewarding—and I truly believe the best is yet to come for Downtown Cuyahoga Falls."
