Mayor Don Walters is proud to announce a weeklong celebration of the 5th Anniversary of the Downtown Transformation Project and the reopening of Front Street. The celebration will include family-friendly events and activities from August 7-August 13.
"The transformation of Front Street from a pedestrian mall to a bustling downtown in just five short years has been amazing," stated Mayor Don Walters. "The 5th Anniversary Celebration will allow us to showcase why downtown Cuyahoga Falls has become a hotspot for residents and visitors alike."

Monday, August 7, 7:45 p.m.
Classic Car Parade following the Don Sitts Riverfront Cruise In
The Don Sitts Riverfront Cruise-In is a tradition in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. Following the Cruise-In selected classic cars will process from the event south on Front Street.
Tuesday, August 8, 6:30 p.m.
Front Street History, presented by the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society, followed by building tours
Learn about the history of Front Street and how it helped shape Cuyahoga Falls. Tours of historically renovated buildings will be available after the presentation. This event will be held at the Downtown Pavilion, 2085 Front Street.
Wednesday, August 9, 5 – 8 p.m.
"Flying on Front: The Journey of the Nighthawk,” presented by Collide: Cuyahoga Falls with local artist Ali Rich
Community members are encouraged to participate in sidewalk chalk creations with Collide: Cuyahoga Falls and local artist Ali Rich. The community art project will be located near the Downtown Pavilion, 2085 Front Street.
Thursday, August 10, 5 – 8 p.m.
Sesame Street Themed 5th Birthday Party, presented by Cuyahoga Falls Parks & Recreation
Cuyahoga Falls Parks & Recreation is throwing Downtown Cuyahoga Falls a 5th Birthday Party complete with Sesame Street characters, entertainment, games, and giveaways. Concessions will be available for purchase.
Friday, August 11, 6 – 10 p.m.
Falls Downtown Fridays with Hey Monea
The season's final Falls Downtown Fridays event will feature local music, craft beer, food, and family-friendly activities.
Saturday, August 12, 12 p.m.
0.5K the 'run' for the rest of us, presented by the Downtown Cuyahoga Falls Partnership
This event is for those NOT willing to go the extra mile – not even a quarter mile – but want the swag. This event is for those willing to dress up and poke fun at themselves while celebrating Downtown Cuyahoga Falls.

Weddings and Vow renewals on the Downtown Stage
Residents are invited to get married or renew their vows as part of a special ceremony on the Downtown Stage (ceremonies will be moved to the Pavilion if necessary due to weather). This event is free to Cuyahoga Falls residents, but reservations are required. To register, please email necco@cityofcf.com or call 330-971-8208. Couples interested in getting married at the event must obtain a marriage license in advance from the Summit County Court of Common Pleas – Probate Division. Visit summitohioprobate.com for details on applying for a marriage license. The deadline to register for a wedding or vow renewal is Tuesday, August 8. Space is limited, so couples are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible before the August 8 deadline. A photographer will be available to commemorate each couple's special day.
